White wines are the staple in our house during the summer. Nothing beats a cold drink on the roof deck at the end of a warm day. Being the gal who can’t cook, anytime I’m invited to a friend’s home for dinner, I’m that guest that brings wine.
Hey, no host has ever complained about an extra bottle of wine 🙂 .
Well this 4th of July is NO different. But instead of just bringing yet another bottle of wine, I’m sprucing it up with this fun & easy patriotic Sangria recipe. My favorite part? The star shaped pineapple pieces. Gotta love mixing a little arts & crafts with a recipe. Totally playing to my strengths!
Sangria Ingredients
- 1 bottle white wine (I like a sweater wine, such as a mMoscato)
- 1 cup triple sec
- 2 cups berry flavored sparkling water
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 pound strawberries, sliced
- 1 pineapple
- Star shaped cookie cutter or knife
Instructions
Cut the pineapple to thin slices, about 1/2 inch thick (or less). Then use your cookie cutter (or knife) to cut out star shaped pineapple pieces.
Combine all ingredients in to a large pitcher. Stir & chill for at least one hour before serving so that the flavors can meld. If you’re going to be drinking it outside in the warm weather add a couple ice cubes to the pitcher!
This patriotic Sangria recipe is fun, easy to make, and guaranteed to be the hit of your party! No cooking required 🙂
