I love when I can make something easily at my home that would typically cost me a fortune at a store. There’s a bunch of new fancy lip scrubs out on the market today and although I can be a sucker for a fun new product, this one is just so simple to make on my own!
This week’s Fast Fix Friday is an easy DIY lip scrub solution using stuff you already have at home. Right in time for the cold winter …. your dry lips will thank you!
All you need to make this diy lip scrub:
Mix (with your finger) equal parts of petroleum jelly and sugar in to the small jar. I typically fill the jar 2/3 full. (You can use a larger mixing bowl, as it will be easier to mix, but the petroleum jelly is kind of messy. I’d rather NOT have to clean a mixing bowl with petroleum jelly all over it!)
Use the scrub a couple times a week by applying the mixture with your fingers to your lips and scrub gently. Wash off with a washrag and dry with a towel. If you have any leftover on your fingers, use them to exfoliate your hands and nail cuticles!
Finally apply chap stick to keep them moisturized!
(and it’s another easy product to pop in your toiletry caddy!)
