Laundry Room Organization with LABELS + Font Bundles Exclusive Deal!

I’ve been in search of matching containers for our various laundry detergents for years now. Yes, you read that right. It’s been on my mind for years. I like the idea of our laundry room looking as clean and clutter free as possible, but couldn’t find containers that would work. (untapped market???) Throwing everything in a basket and calling it a day wasn’t satisfying my obsessive desire for a cohesive look.

When grocery shopping last week I realized that these fabric softener containers were exactly what I was looking for. They fit nicely in my wooden basket & once I removed the labels, the clean white color would create the clean aesthetic I wanted. As I was checking out, the cashier asked me if there was a big sale on fabric softener. I had to hold back every urge to not explain this brilliant idea. Realizing that I could appear to be completely nuts, I told her I was just stocking up.

I dumped all the fabric softener in to a large empty detergent container (to use at a later time) and rinsed each of them out. To remove the label, I just needed gently rip with a knife. I also grabbed an extra spray bottle that I had on hand to use as my new spot cleaner container.

Next I needed to make my labels. This was the fun part! Instead of just selecting one of the standard fonts in Microsoft word, I searched through over 70 creative and fun fonts provided by Font Bundles through their Auction & Script packages.

I’ve never installed fonts onto my computer before, installing Font Bundles was SO easy. Actually I wouldn’t even call it installation …. more like click install and go to whichever Microsoft application you’re using to select from the font drop down.

Fast forward 40 minutes later I’ve finally narrowed down to my six favorite fonts below 🙂 . The fonts are all really unique so it was hard  to pick just one.

I opted for Greatpark, the top middle one. Using a sheet of my Avery 5160 template labels, I typed out wording for each of the cleaners I would be labeling. I centered each and increased the font size to the largest size that would fit, roughly size 50 (Fabric Softener was 32).

All I had to do was print and attach the labels to the containers. Then fill each container with the appropriate cleaner.

Way way WAY more organized, if I say so myself 🙂 .

I loved this project because after years of searching for a better container, I simply used what was right in front of me (I also totally hated that I didn’t think of this sooner). Using a more creative font made these pop a lot more in the laundry room.

I had so much fun looking through these fonts that I ended up redoing my enter website with the new fonts = a weekend of me on the couch watching Netflix with my computer! This was on the to-do list for a while now, but from what I had researched buying fonts is annoyingly confusing (licensing rules, yearly renewals, super high costs, etc). So I really appreciated Font Bundles unique concept of making this really straightforward, easy and affordable 🙂 .

Facebook & Twitter definitely weren’t left out either. I updated profile pics on both to match the fonts.

Font Bundles has a really good deal going on right now for both of their font packages …. Auction & Script. Personally I liked having these packages to choose my fonts form as opposed to buying individual fonts. It’s a way better deal, plus I was able to compare & contrast various fonts easily (which I did for hours!!!).

Off to label the rest of my home …. looking at you sock drawer. Kidding. Kind of.
