While I love hosting parties, I HATE cooking. That’s why I’m so excited how well my recent no bake brunch party turned out! While the food was simple, I added some really fun elements to make it special, including the new TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods. They have a creamy blend of black tea, cinnamon, ginger and vanilla, making it a sweet meets spicy taste. Plus all the two step process just made them fun to make!
Since the food was simple, I wanted to make it a little bit more fun! The Seattle farmers market was my first stop. The flowers available this time of year are AMAZING and ridiculously affordable so it was tough to choose a favorite …. so I bought two bunches 🙂 . Finding some beautiful pink arrangements, I had my color pallet.
Although the food was simple, it was fun! The yogurt parfaits were pre-assembled into stemless wine glasses instead of using plain bowls. For some reason we all felt a little fancier eating our yogurt from a wine glass 🙂 . Plain Greek yogurt, granola and assorted berries made this the healthy food dish of the brunch! I complied these right before the guests arrived so to prevent the granola from getting soggy. Doughnut holes were placed on skewers with pink decorative paper circles taped on the ends to tie in the color scheme.
Pink lemonade from concentrate was given a ‘pop’ with lemon slices and extra berries (from the yogurt parfaits) floating on top of the pitcher. TAZO® Chai Lattes were such a fun beverage treat for the guests. We all decided that tea and doughnuts are going to be our new brunch combo! Having the K-Cup® pods made my job as the host much easier!
Alternating colors of pink napkins were placed on top of a gray ‘table cloth’. That table cloth was actually unused gray fabric from my envelop pillow tutorial. I bought WAY too much fabric, but fortunately I don’t like to get rid of ANYTHING. I was so excited to finally put it to use! I opted to skip sewing the edges of the fabric and instead simply folded the edges & ironed for a nice clean edge line. It turned out to be a perfect complement to the pink flowers & napkins and white serving dishes & vases, especially since I was going for a minimal style with pops of color.
I opted to place small bunches of flowers in white & clear vases throughout the table instead of just one large bouquet. Flowers are such an easy way to make a tablescape look more elegant especially when it includes several kinds.
Brunch doesn’t have to mean BAKING! Especially when it’s so easy to turn the ordinary into special. The new TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods take chai tea to a whole new level.
